The devil's water it ain't so sweet.

Friday was an eventufulday and night...some misfortants and some rants were included.


Yesterday afternoon after coming home from school, I recieved a mail. It was The Ponies Magazine. My artwork was featured in it and so were some of the people who were important in my life.

The magazine is sooo cute, it features stories/articles/drawngs/photos.

On the night:
My drawings was in the "Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art and Design", I think mine made it in to the top 80, out of 1600 other art students. My wasnt shortlisted, some of the artoworks that were chosen were so easy to make. I was annoyed with this one person who was shortlisted, because she copied someone else's artwork from deviant art.

A nice lady came up to me and asked if the four drawings were mine, and I said yes, she told me it was one of her favourite out of the 80, top 3 to be more precise. It felt nice, after she'd told me that

I knew art was bias, but I never knew how much. The artworks in the exhibition were so nice, some I was so amazed by it, because I dont have the skills to ever drawing that well. It's funny, because the person who chosed it was bias as fucked. There were about 5 artworks I saw that deserved to win. A majority that were shortlisted I didnt agree with, but I cant judge because what I think is "art" isnt what other people think. I recon it should of have been a group of people who gets to pick the winner, not one person with long hair, that looks like a bloody hippie. I speicalise in low brow art, not post modern, not video art, etc. Most of the works there were digitalised. I'm old fashion, everything I do is by hand. God I hate art, but it keeps coming back and haunting me like a motherfucker. I guess Im stuck with it for life.

Anyway, I was thankful that my drawings gets to be in the exhibition and that my friends came to support me after an hour drive. So so thankful.

Friday night wasnt over yet, my friend and my sister and I, went to out usaly Friday night movie night, there were some misfortunes on the way, but overall it worked out find. We watched 'Tropic Thunder", it was so funny.
