Today I ventured into Vietnamese town (Victoria Parade). I went to Salvos, ate a large pork steam bun for $2.50, and purchase chrysanthemum tea.
Winter has come, and pass, and spring is now in season. This week some of my packages arrived. Alchemy vitamin masque hair treatment, See by Chloe perfume, and my new boots by To Be Announced. They make the best boots.
I love my new boots.
This past week, when I was on my usual tram home from work, a man came in with large bags full of his belongings. He walked row by row telling people that he was hungry, homeless, and that he needed help. They just ignored him. My heart felt so sad, I saw the distress on his face, and my inside broke into tears. I wish I was able to help him.
Similarly I was looking at photos, and reading about countries who has it worse (I read the news every day- please keep in mind, current affairs are NOT news), more homelessness, more strikes, more guns, and more killings. There was an article that I read about how a little boy in China got his left eye ball ripped out, because there was a man who wanted to sell is cornea in the black market- as it is believe that children organs are worth more. It tears my soul into pieces. It's a constant reminder of how lucky I am, I think I a lot of people in first world countries take so many things for granted, and they are ignorant to what is happening around the world. Just because they don't show it in the news, doesn't mean it's not happening. I wish some people are more updated with the current/ past/ future situation of the world.
