Pins and needles

Today as the lecturer for my corporate communication and pr class was informing us about our exam, I thought to myself. Why am I taking this subject? Why am I doing this degree? Why aren't I doing something more creative? It's not me at all. Then I realised, I've picked B. Communication, because I wanted to challenge myself. Sure I can do more creative subject such as fine arts, but that would be too easy. Challenging myself, the way I see it, is like giving the finger to life, and saying 'hey I can do this too! I can do things I don't normally do, I'm out of my comfort soon'. It's a nice feeling. I sometimes forget public relations and marketing are the creative side of business....but base on theory and logic.

Tonight I've been studying for my media law exam..contempt, sub-judiced, disobedient contempt, freedom of speech, common law, statue law, regulations, contempt in the court of law, court reporting, revealing jury's deliberation, defamation, copyright, off the record, on the record, torts, background and so much more. It's doing my head it. I keep repeating it in my head. the definition, the key concepts. EVERYTHING! I have an 8am start tomorrow too...

On a nicer note my 8G memory card arrived in the mail and I've learned how to set the aperture on my dslr, sad I know. I've notice the photos I've taken are not the quality I want. I can do better! I'm still learning so bare with me folks. Next stop..a portable hard drive to keep all of my photos memorabilia.

I wish I took better care of my photos of friends from high school.

 

Next year I will be taking part in a third year internship for pr. I need start creating my portfolio..media releases etc. I have a feeling this will not end well.haha

Halloween is this week..I think my friends and I are going to Graves..this should be interesting. I haven't been out in so long.

p.s I miss Davey, he also post a new short story on his blog. It's pretty good.
